The first thing of the photo that i realize is there really isnt a major subject, if you were hoping for the boats to be the subject I would consider taking a crop in to make them larger and catch the eye. The other thing that I would consider is to crop out the stick in the foreground, for some reason My eye goes right to it every time that I look at the photo. I know we really cant control the weather either, but I think it would contrast the boats better if you had a blue sky day. I know this really happens for me so I am kind of glad im not the only one with gray sky photos (no offense or nothing). |

Very nice composition, and I know the other comments feel that it is a bit flat. I hope you don't mind, as I downloaded it into photoshop, and played with the "color balance", adding more blues and magenta to your image. I also cropped it, re the rule of thirds, to give more impact on the ripples in the water, which I really like.
This is the result, re my playing with it.

well, i think you had a bad day here i mean the weather, the light is to flat, no sun that give you no good shadows and stuuf that can be more itnersting, and maybe take it in the afternoon or early in the morning |

Good POV, but it's a bit flat, probably because of all of the grey. Calmer water would help with the reflection. The grass wrapped around the stick is distracting, maybe a higher crop to get rid of that. |

I will agree with the sky. A nice sunrise or sunset would look really good. Plus, it should be a little more calm for a better reflection. I like the angle you took the picture. Nice job on that!
Hope it helps

I don't have much experience but I think this image could use a better point of interest. What I mean is, if you intended to have the boats as your subject, they would have to be bigger more visible. If you intended to make a landscape image, then the boats are too big and too visible.
You're like in between the 2 good zones in my opinion and therefor there's no point of interest in the image. Hope this helps! |
