This could have been a nice photo if the text were not there.

Pity you didn't crop that text out. It spoils an otherwise nice picture. I also suggest you try adjusting the levels. You could make this quite a dramatic sunset without any illegal editing.

duh....that was to the caption

Yeah, definately break out the manual and find out how to turn the datestamp off. Nice silloute.

I percieve this as a tree standing - rahter than at rest

Good lighting, I like the tree, good colors.

maybe you should turn off your date stamp

Thinking of a tree at rest, I would think it was either leafless or fallen.

sorry but the date stamp really destroys the whole photo

Nice shot. It might be a bit more dynamic if the tree weren't quite as centered but more to one or the other side. Also, I'm not totally sure, but I think most digital cameras can be set so the date/time doesn't show on the picture; the info is kept in the EXIF data, but not on the picture, which is nice. You might want to reset your camera for this. I love the sun behind the tree trunk! ~6

I thought of this idea but I was not sure it fit the challenge since the subject was to be securely placed, seated, or lying.....
I think for the tree you should have used the rule of thirds in the composition as you did for the water and sky.
After reading the forum I came back to reevaluate some of my voting and comments. There is a restful feeling to the photo and there is an object securely placed...

Not enough clarity here

Next time turn off your timestamp function.

its too bad that this beautiful photo is ruined by the date and time stamp in the corner.

Try cropping out the date stamp....maybe b/w.

Would be a great photo if not for the date/ time imprint, turn that thing off.
