Voted this a 6. I thought It could of used some dodge and burn. Highlights and contrast are not strong so you could of helped it to put this in 1st place. But still very great and a fav of mine. |

Steve,
What a great pic, perfectly shot .... so the real question .... what was you doing at a nude beach in San Fransico at night? ;) Or better still how did you keep from being distracted ;).. Super work!! |

Good use of long exposure. The motion blur in the water makes the image very dynamic. |

Seldomly see the bridge from this side, but imo it is the better side.
Great compo with the lines of the flowing water, the line of the beach, the bridge itself and the hills. That big rock in front with the water flowing around it finishes it off. Looks very good in b&w. |

Spectacular black & white!
The perspective, composition and primary & secondary focal points are very well done and placed in this image. The overall tones are wonderful and a great title to go with it.
Adding to my favorites and hope this does very well in this challenge! |

This is a beautiful B&W shot of the waters of the bay and the SF bridge. I like how you composed the shot taking it from a low angle level to the rock in the foreground. This creates such a visuallly interesting photo. I see two sentinels here. The composition shows them both off perfectly for one dominates the foreground while the other dominates the background. The first is the rock who has been sitting there for countless years enduring the waves of the river. The second is the bridge that towers over the river off to the right hand side of the composition. One last note about the rock in the foreground, I love how you captured the movement of the waters for it is the sweeping motion that adds visual interest as well as movement to the piece. |

first reaction was a very immediate "wow". this certainly has something grand about it, and not just in terms of the scale. i love how the golden gate is just scenery here; i don't think i've ever seen it taken from this sort of angle before, and frankly, it's beauty and majesty is massively enhanced because you see clearly how it just fits within its environment. the long exposure adds another dimension (dark filter??) with the water being very visually pleasing. the only shame is that the sky is so overblown over the hills on the left, but it isn't that obtrusive a distraction... very lovely scenery; and especially warm because you also feel a personal love of the location from you the photographer. 9. |

Nicer than all of the previous photos of this entered in DPC challenges this year. The movement and stillness are attractive. |
