I was going to enter a photo of my cat for the Silhouette challenge, but had to change my entry when I got this shot. Sorry Mama Kitty. Her photo is, however, located in my profile by popular demand.
I've spent the past few days chasing the Pirates of the Caribbean filming crew up and down the coast of Redondo Beach with camera in hand. The local newspaper called this ship the Black Pearl, however, I'm pretty sure that sank in the last movie, so I'm a little confused. Any pirates fans out there that can clarify? =)
Anyway, whichever ship it is, I've taken about 400 shots of it and this was one of my favorites. I have more posted in my profile if anyone's interested.

Since you asked...
I'm fairly sure that Captain Jack was lost with the Pearl when it was attacked by the Kraken in POTC2. However, chances are that it'll be found again as POTC3 is about the characters searching for Captain Jack "beyond the grave", so he'd be with the ship. |

This picture would have been perfect IMHO if the .... left side would stand out from the background like the right side (ap. back vs. front)... Love the colors and the angle you took the picture... Well captured - good luck (8) |

That is dramatic. I like it, every part of it. It would have given a better look if the two boats weren't there. The majestic, old boat look |

At the bottom left, the boat gets lost in the background. I also think the hull of the ship would have worked better with little to no background.
Great colors in the sky. 5 |
