On the way to get my shot for the transportation challenge, I passed this, and it wasn't quite sunrise yet, but i had to pull over, it was waaay to nice to simply keep driving by. It's a spot i've driven past many a time, and have always meant to get a good shot of, but i've finally got around to it :). Btw, this city is Melbourne (Australia) for those who don't know, and that's the cricket grounds just off to the right. Unfortunately the bridge i was standing on was very close to a big busy road, so i got a tiny bit of camera shake, as it was a very long exposure. Picture was taken @ 38mm.
PP i can't remember too much, because i took it a while back :P
- raw conversion w/WB correction
- NN
- straighten/crop
- clone out sensor dust (nooo... gotta start cleaning now)
- cloning on buildings to get rid of some blownout highlights and distracting stuff in water
- saturation considerably punched up
- gradient to accentuate the sky colour change even more
- sharpening
- DPC resize |

| The lighting and reflections are very pretty. I like the colorfulness of this image and the quietness conveyed. I would suggest a slight clockwise rotation to level the horizon lines so that the building look more upright instead of the slight lean to the left.7 |
