The girl is my daughter Hilda.

I'm not very fond of titles that try to explain too much, so this is the reasoning behind the short title.

I love this. This is actually one of my favorites (not that I could vote!) It's just perfect IMO. I agree with Jdannels - be very proud of this.

If I could vote this higher than a 10 I would. I don't think I have ever added a favorite during a challenge, yours is the first. I just see no wrong, and have captured something simple and honest I can't explain. superior image, good luck.

This is by far my favorite portrait so far. Love the warm, subtle coloring. Her expression is so natural and direct. I like that stray hair across her eye. Very nice composition.

Would adjusting the white balance a little improve the skin tones?

Nice portrait, well-lit. Her expression is borderline quixotic, but in the end, it's enough of a smirk that I just think she's peeved and cynical.... As if I just tried to sell her on Santa Claus or something. A more descriptive or interesting title might have enhanced the package, or told me why she's making this face, or told me why her hair is uncombed. Good luck with this.
