Fun with light! Getting better at it, I think...I know the focus is a little soft, but it's a challenge when shooting self-portraits without a remote - even with a high fstop, it would seem.

Post processing - bit of a crop and some healing brush.

tip for shooting with timer: put an object/your hand into the frame where you plan to be during the shot and then press the shutter. in the 10-20 seconds after, since the cam is already locked on, you can casually wander back into the frame and get it bang on.

that aside, nice shot! could have been a bit darker to bring out 'true' blacks.

Loads of potential with that lighting and model. Too bad about the soft focus.

Doesn't hold enough appeal to me. It needs something to make it Pop more.

A sharper (more focused) photo would have scored well here.

A little too much of the photo dark on the right side. I looked at it with that area covered and it looks so much better.

I love your idea here, but your entry could use some sharpness & I think your whitebalance was off.

Composition: 6 - The negative space to the right works well but I don't like the crop at the top
Technical: 3 - It seems way too dark. There is almost no detail in the hair and the eyes especially need to be a lot brighter.
Creativity: 5 - The leaves in the hair etc are a good attempt to make it a unique portrait, but a more interesting angle and pose etc would add interest.
Appeal: 4

Overall Calculated Average Score: 4
