Added some saturation and sharpening... A first for me as I never tried it before... I'm glad I get to put in the details now, so I can say to those that asked if I lost my job, "THANK YOU!!! THAT IS THE BEST COMPLEMENT ANYONE COULD GIVE!!!" and no, I didn't lose my job :)
Shot on Saturday when the office was empty. I brought the photo's and hand/feet prints from my cube to the cube of a laid off worker.

too close to home ; but seriously, the sparseness may be what you're trying to convey, but it leaves me wanting something else from this image. 5 sjgleah

I've never had a desk of mine look so neat!

Not suprised he got laid off if he wore those ties to work. WOW. I thought this type of office only existed in cartoons and laboratories (for the mice). Well taken, nice idea, excellent lighting and exposure. Hey you have the same phone as me!

Stark. I wonder if some color manipulation would make it even more stark?

Its a good subject, but needs some added elements to drive things home. Perhaps the red hands could have an 'I love you daddy' in childs writing. Maybe replace the small framed pictures with a family portrait at A4 size just to make it clear that there is a family in trouble out there today. You could add an unfinised todo list. The framed circuit board needs to be a part of the bit and peices of the life thats ended rather than the focus. A newspaper with awful headlines could help too. Try a vertical frame to eliminate the cubicle door and show the other empty cubicles. I like the missing PC. Im afraid this looks a bit rushed in some ways. Erm, was someone standing over you whilst you did this? I get the feeling this may have been a real sacking.

I like it! Nice clean shot. Well lit with color standouts, and tells a story...

Hmm. This looks like it's too close to home. It didn't happen to you, I hope?

Certainly projects one of the things I think of when I consider the "Corporate World". However, the overall image doesn't really engage my interest.
