| More of a closeup on the bud would have improved this shot - a tad cluttered as it is now. |

| Great touch of color in the flower really helps to add interst to the shot. Lighting makes the flower pop[ out of the shot. Really good details in the leaves. |

| It's hard to tell what the subject is because there is too much other stuff around which dominates the subject (which is supposed to be the bud). |

| With the lighting vs. shadows and the bud being so small compared to the leaves and flower, your subject gets lost in the image. I found myself looking all over the photo to find the bud. |

| the full blown flower takes the eye away from the bud - either going in closer to the bud or different cropping would have helped |
