 I applied the usual curves and levels adjustments and then used the Buzz Simplifier filter in an attempt to achieve a watercolor look. Then a bit of burning and dodging, resize, sharpening, and save for web. This was shot at the Cornell Plantations and Arboretum located on the Cornell University Campus in Ithaca, New York.

Lovely garden. I think it would have been a lot more effective without the red backpack, however. Without the model, it reminds me of a Monet.

Your processing is great here - hopefully you post it after the challenge is over. The only improvement in my opinion would be to not have the model. One of the best of the challenge.

First you get to see all the colors, you feel WOW! Then the eyes are led to the grassy area, and you "get stuck" on the girl. She takes something away from what you're trying to say. I'm willing to bet you'd have preferred her to not be in the pic. Good try. You have the eye!

Beautiful garden but I find that the backpack on the girl is distracting. Perhaps not having the girl in the photo would have made the photo more pleasing.

The garden is spectacular!!!... but I'm not crazy about the person. Maybe a more reflective pose, or ?? The backpack distracts from the beauty of the picture.

I like it, it looks like an oil painting & the model looks alien to the shot (which really makes the overall image)

I don't normally like pic that have heavy filters on them. This on seems to work with the subject matter and if feels very painterly. However, that red backpack jumps out at me and not in a good way. I think it would have been perfectly lovely without the subject.
