I've been a DPCer for about 6mths now and have already learned a lot of new things! I enjoy getting comments both during challenges and within my portfolio, so please don't hesitate to view and comment. I've always enjoyed photography as a hobby and up until recently, when my photos turn out well, it's been pure luck! Recently, with some help from my friends, I'm trying to learn to manipulate my setting much better to create the image I see (and/or what I want the camera to see). Since I'm new at all of this, I welcome any suggestions or comments you may have (and I'll try my best to take the good with the bad).
Also, unlike most of the members here, I don't have PS. I usually use Picasa 2 and for the most part, have gotten pretty good results; however, if anyone would like to give me pointers on the software end of it, I'd welcome those, too!
As you probably can assume from my photography, I lived near the beach and love being outdoors (especially with a camera in hand). I love the part of the country where I live and because of that, you'll see lots of "southern" influenced photos. I've just gotten married and moved back to the "Upstate" of South Carolina, which is more like home. Since I'm much closer to the Blue Ridge Mountatins now, you'll probably start seeing more mountain shots and less beach shots.
I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I enjoy taking them! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to "sight see".

Enter at least 4 challenges a month - not real doable right now as I've just moved, gotten married and started a new job w/in the past 4 weeks
Add new photos to my portfolio monthly - ditto from above
P.S. I'll try to upload some photos of my wedding soon, as I'd promised and some of you have requested from me to see them. Thanks for all of the help and support while I was trying to "prepare" for evening, snow shots and for the post editing help recently (I'm sure I'll continue with questions for the post proccessing part)
