Thank you all very much for commenting. It's been great learning process. Macros are still a bit tough for me.

I loved this before, and I still do. This is excellent.

Hmmmm!!!! Abstract art well composed/exposed though the mints do look a bit OOF.

Absolutely beautiful sharp picture. I like the shadows casting off the mints. It helps to break up the vivid blue color in the background. Looks like there's a tiny fold on the lower right corner of the white background.

Very creative and appealing. I wonder how it would look with the shadows in the opposite direction separating the white balls from the white background.
Excellent as it is though.

Absolutely superb, great idea, very well executed. Very effective lighting. Great composition. I really think NeatImage could have improved this for me though, I can't decide if I'm seeing noise or texture, so I'd have been temped to smooth it all out. 9

I like this shot for its simplicity and direct appeal. 2 negative points. 1) the shadows to the left of each mint are weak and 2) there's a disturbing crease on the right border between the bottom two mints. I think that this image might look better if flattened. That is, the feeling of perspective removed by opening the f-stop, increasing the shutter speed, and taking the shot from a higher position before cropping.

Excellent composition, colours, lighting. The only thing (and it's truly minor) is the little ruffle in the white paper on the right hand side. Otherwise, it's perfect.

I love the photo...great use of color and balance. I can accept it is a macro, but only because I figure it in the challenge...not something that jumps out as a macro! Great work!

Much better than the thumbnail would indicate. If the shadows go the other way, there would be more of a border between the mint and white. Or did you want them to blend together? And I know this is really picky, but the wrinkle on the right side keeps drawing my eye over there.

I like this idea. Wish you could have used lighting to differentiate between the white of the mints and the white of the background - I know its is supposed to be subtle, but it is a bit too subtle for me. Great blue. I'm not seeing much detail or texture which I feel is the point of macro.

The shadow spoils this for me and the mark near the bottom right leads my eye away from the main subject. Its still a good photo, well done

Cute! Nice design. Tha slight crease on the right is the only flaw... darn it! ;)
