This is a great exposure! I find it really difficult to keep the sky from blowing out and getting details in the foreground. impressive. It may not have fit the challenge exactly but i think this shot would be a contender in a different challenge. |

Critique Club Review:
Color, saturation, and hue are done well. Focus and depth of field are very good.
The green grass in the foreground competes with the rest of the image a bit.
As this is an advanced edititng challege, I would suggest removing the foreground grass that breaks up the smooth lines of the foreground shore, and the objects in the water (bouys?) that are distractions.
The fisherman looks a little oversharpened. There looks to be some sort of processing artifact along his shorts that makes him almost "photo shopped" in.
Overall a very nice photo. |

Thats definately pastel in color. The fisherman is in the right spot, horizon is in the right spot. but, something feels wrong and I can't place it. Perhaps its because Im used to seeing bright vivid color tones. Or maybe its the jet streams drawing the eye away? Maybe the fisherman should be a silhouette. I'm at a loss on it. I like it so Im giving you a 7. The sky looks like someone scribbled it in with sky chalk. |
