I like the idea but not sure about the color.

Interestinig composition, but why the unnatural orange cast?

good detail and color

Need more tonal lighting to enhance the shape of the garlic and the lines of its skin. I think the orangy warming filter took away the varying details that would make this image pop.
As to lighting, maybe glancing over the image from the right might have added more tonal detail. Work with lighting, using what you have whether it be flashlights or mirrored light and you can get the tones and shaping light that you need.

Color cast on this image doesn't enhance it for me. But I think you did a good job with DOF and POV. Focus works with the image.

What's the purpose of the orange tint? You have killed the interesting shades, usually found on garlic skin.

Nice colors. A bit more DOF would make this great (especially for left side)

Interesting... the lighting really helps to make it interesting.

Good macro. Nice focus and texture on the garlic.

Nice golden tone - but in a rustic setting would be even better. Still life is an art requiring consideration and planning.

might be intentional, but would hve preferred this with correct white balance and a litle more DOF

not too kean on the colour cast here. For me the Garlic would have ment more if it was erased out to white...just a thought

How can this be so gorgeous? Well it is. Love the orangy yellow tones.
