 I don't expect this shot to score highly...
I thought I'd explore the limits of calm and see how edgy I could make it. With this photo, I'm trying to convey a subtle sense of desolation and suspense that can be found within 'calm'. It'll be interesting to see what the voters make of it.

I love this shot. What hurts is that I have been meaning to shoot a similar concept. I look at yours and glad I did not make mine because you took the cake here. Oh yes, after looking at this wonderful study I will reposition my idea and what I produce will use yours as the benchmark. Good work.

Like the shot except for the motion in the arms. Like the monotone as well. BUT, is the model resting? She(???) looks like she is the throws of either an orgasm or cardiac (sic) arrest.

Nice. Very unusual perspective and makes a mundane event seem somehow exciting, possibly sinister or erotic, and certainly enigmatic. Lighting and motion capture are excellent for this style. I like the colourisation choice.

I am not sure I understand the title and how it applies to the photo. You have gotten me curious! I like the blue /black tones and the far wall. I am not sure the arms look restful... but rather I see motion blurr especially where the arm blends into the side wall.
It looks like the photo needs to be rotated a bit. It is not far enough from being level to look like it is supposed to be leaning to one side and yet it is not quite level so it distracts to me.
lt is interesting.

I like the angle and the composition. But the motion of the hands, for me, takes away from the theme of rest.
