the leading lines and composition made this one of my top picks for the challenge - was hoping to see this on the first page (top ten).
I could give you a list of 10 photos ahead of you that are far inferior to this! :-)
Reprocess this and sell it for $500 on stock and you'll feel MUCH better about being underappreciated on DPC. |

I was there taking pics over the w/e! Next to Lloyds building.
Nice image - though I am not sure about the blurring effect (at these limited dimensions, it looks a bit like a series of jpeg smoothing artefacts). Well done on top 30 though!

Interesting use of the odd blurring. It adds a little business to the picture, although I'm not sure I like it 100%. The addition of the reading man really makes the picture.
Nice use of the curve in the stairs too. |

Nice capture. Trees standing out in cityscape sceneries work well. THe colors and layout work really well here but the intense blur scattered around is a bit distracting. Still gave this an 8. |

Very pretty. I really enjoy the softness of this photo and how the curve of the steps lead you though it. |

I have found that photographs with with lines in it like this photograph generally score very well here in dpc. I am sure this photograph will not be the exception. |

Nice composition. The stairs frame the tree beautifully. |

The tree should not be cut of if it is the main subject, at least IMO. |

Perfect capture of not only a tree, but a moment. It appears to me that the moment is both in motion and fixed in time. I really enjoyed this picture. Good luck. I give it a perfect 10. |

I think the composition is compelling and I like the soft focus effect. For some reason I want to see more of the tree, although I realize that probably wasn't possible. 6 |

Nice geometry there. As a record of such places, it is a good photo. |

In the street photography you must take the result that come. with a better composition between tree and man I rate with a higher rating. Too much worked the image (diffuse glow or similar effects I think) 5 |

I dont' see the tree as the major factor in the scene. it does add the composition, which I like. your processing, lines and the guy create a nice scene, but not one squarly in the challenge. nonetheless 5. |

what strikes me first is the way the lines of the stairs draw your eye around to the gentleman sitting in the b.g. nice use of this and the lighting is pretty cool as well. however, voters may see a very well composed picture of a man on the steps framed by the tree. i hope not, though. i'm bumping this to an 8 |

Interesting lines, nice glow applied - actually, very nice post-processing with this in general. Think I may know who this is just by the setting - those steps look familiar. ;^) Anyway, best of luck to you in the challenge. |

This is very nice. I would have ordinarily thought the tree was not showing enough of its form, but those wonderful curving steps make this a very pleasing composition. |
