This is a fun shot and a great idea. The background is really cool too! I was one of your twenty-three 7's. IMO you could have added a little more "WOW" to this with some sharpening to make the lines on his face real crisp, then some burning & dodging to add even more brightness & contrast to the stripes.

I like the head-on viewpoint. I think this could be improved by blurring or burning the body to make the head stand out a bit more.
