I love pine trees and thought I would hike out to a pine grove near my home and do some shots for this challenge. This is what I liked. Cropped, Levels, Saturation

Nice idea. I expect that you might be taking a hit because of the background trees, but I quite like it.

The line of the predominant trunk leads my eye directly to....dead branches and a blown out sky. :(

There's not much space so they tend to get tall fast and bushy at the top. Your photo tells a story common in nature.
