I really like the tilt. It reminds me of lurching around as the train is moving... |

I love the title for this picture it sets a mood that makes you feel like you the photographer were once on this train in its glory days. the tilt is excellent. good job. |

Very nice shot. The angle really gives us that broken-down feeling. |

Cropping to pull back to vertical would improve this, and losing some of the dark door frame at left and right. |

Something old. Use your photographic technique to emphasize the age of your subject. Composition - quite good Technical Aspects - quite good, did you try a small rotation to level it? Meets Challenge - yes Visual Impact / Originality - high

Really dig the whole shot - the flat colors, the patterns of the windows against the doorways. Very powerful shot. |

I just love this photo... it's a SHAME SHAME SHAME it's not level... and the framing with the doorway there is a bit unattractive. It could also use a bit more contrast... otherwise, this would be a perfect TEN. Still, I find myself coming back again and again to this photo. Well done. --9-- sohr |

Great shot. OK, I have to ask - did you tilt the camera or is the train tilted? I like that effect. Wonder if you could crop it just a little more to leave just a little of the doorway sides visible, but may not have same effect or image size. This image is thought provoking. What went on there?...Who was there? I get the sense that maybe some event occured. Has a sense of mystic. Good work. 8 Ruthann |

this is definitely an interesting subject for 'old'... the camera tilt is bothering me just a bit... in a case like this, I think that either perfectly vertical would work or a much more drastic tilt... - jmsetzler |

seems overexposed to me. Do you have an exposure compensation on your camera? The bulls-eyed, eye-level shot down the corridor is un-interesting. it is not immediately clear what the picture is of, or whether the title helps at all. |

Wow this is a fantastic subject. I love the odd angle too - that tells us something about what's going on outside the picture. Great light and concept. Perhaps I'd have pushed the colour up just a tiny bit. Great shot. |

Great shot. Nice detail and DOF. This passenger car is a good subject for old. The only thing I might change is maybe tilting the image a few degrees. |

Excellent subject. My inclination is to right the camera relative to the first doorway, and let the rear one be off-kilter, rather than the opposite. |

Very nice. Focus looks good. Lighting looks good. Subject matter is good. I'm sure you meant for the picture to be a bit crooked (Or is it the car that's crooked?)

Somehow I expect you might recieve some comments on how the picture is flawed because it is not strait... however this is not one them. My only comments (besides likeing it) are recommended spot edits which you would not have been able to do for the challenge. The first was is the light coming through the ceiling in the upper left- it seems to have a slight tint likely caused by the camera that you may wish to remove. You may also want to look at the frame on the sides you used and see if you can clear it up slightly perhaps just sharpen it once. --9 Agamemnon |

I have looked at this picture at least a half dozen times. I rated it right away, but over the past two days I kept telling myself, "I must say SOMETHING about this picture." Problem is, I wanted my comment to be well-thought-out. So, here goes:
Light & color (in my opinion) are a photographer's best friends. Your use of light to catch the fading color of this very old passenger car (train) shows you know your friends very well. |

This is cool. Everything has that faded, washed out look. Framing it at an angle helps so it doesn't have a pristine feel which wouldn't really fit something this aged. I'm wondering, though, if it might have a more dramatic feel if shot vertically instead of horizontally. |

Cool, I love the tilt. It makes me picture ghostly passengers from the past. A very evocative photo! |

Nice photo. Good eye. I'd liketo see this picture rotated slightly to the right. Also, maybe crop the to walls (closest to you). (6) |
