Two times World Superbike Champion Troy Corser on the Alstare Corona Suzuki GSX-R1000. Shot during friday free qualifying practice of the World Superbike Series on sept 1st 2006 at the Dutch Assen track.

Corser (Australia) won his first WSBK title on a Ducati in 1996. In 1998 I believe he lost the title in the last race and after that wasted a lot of time at Foggy Petronas racing before signing with Suzuki in 2005, winning his 2nd title that same year on the GSX-R1000.
He was also the first non-American AMA Superbike champion (AMA is the US domestic series, just like BSB is the Brittish one) in 1995 on a Ducati.

I've got a lot of shots from many different riders. But I chose this one because of the active position and angle (instead of more en profil) and the way the yellow and blue work with the green background.

Made about 850 exposures that day, still have about 150 left of them. Again all shots made with manual exposure. When you are panning and have all the different colored bikes coming by in rapid motion the Auto-exposure makes a mess of the exposure value. When the light changes I find that I am more and more able to judge how to adjust the exposure manually very rapidly.
Camera was in AF-C mode, altough many times I took just one shot. Panned of course. Also experimented a lot with feet position in relation to the subject and the swing I make. It can make a lot of difference.
This was shot at 1/250s, that day the best compromise. For some reason I couldn't get 1/160s to work so well. But 1/400s is to fast.

Editing: color adjustments, exposure balance, maybe some dust removal and selective sharpening.

8 - Good shot. Nice and clean. Good panning(?) and stop motion. Like the composition but wonder whether a fraction more space/green at the top may have balanced this out a little more, but depends what you had to work with, obviously.

I imagine white reflections when shooting scenes of this nature are hard to counteract so seeing as I cant pick any faults its gotta be a 10. GL in the challenge

Good motion. I like how the front wheel is slightly suspended for the shot.

from technical aspect the shot is good. colours and sharpness are perfect and the composition is good. It's difficult for me find in the image something that is different from sporting reportage...I think that have few interesting.
