| take away the "gimmick" photos in this challenge and you have the blue - thank you for showing that straight forward photography can place well - this is great work |

| My vocabulary has increased ten-fold since coming to this site. This is one of my faves of the challenge. I love the candidness of the shot. The lighting perfectly captures his senescentness (lol not sure if I just created a new word). Great pic! |

I'll do this first so that you'll see where I'm coming from. On the portrait alone, 8. It's captivating, well composed, a delightfully expressive model, emotive.....and a fav for me.....
The bad thing.....I had to look up senescent and that's not a good thing 'cause I have a voluminous vocabulary. That may hurt you, but hopefully the extremely good portrait will cause most voters to blow by the title.
