As always, thanks for the votes and comments.
BTW: The subject of the challenge was 'flight', not 'show as much detail of a bird as you can' :)

The white border is a little to much IMHO, it seems to clash with the white clouds. I wish the birds were a little larger also. Nice shot otherwise. 7

I think this would be more striking in mono - it would be more atmospheric. The sky is 'too blue' and the birds are not detailed or interesting enough.

Beautiful blue hue in the sky really adds interest to the picture. Contrast in the birds against the sky really help bring them out of the shot. A lot of people might complain about the landscape but I like it. It gives scale to the image and give the picture an immense or larger then life feeling. Great shot. Excellent frame choice.

Difficult to critique this one. Artistically, this has some interest, but on a detail level... (well, there's very little detail of the birds). The clouds seem a bit over-exposed. I like showing the horizon and the sky is a nice pretty blue, but those are the "good" points. 6 Rob the Swash

Nice composition even if the birds are a little too far away. The contrast between the ground and clouds and blue sky is great. There is a slight magenta tinge in the clouds in the lower right corner.

The composition is great, but the image, much too soft.
