 Trying out my new Nikon 18-35 3.5-5.6. $100 Refurb not bad for the investment.
Desturated.
Rotated 1 degree to ensure strait.
Curves.
Added Duplicate layer and layer mask to bring in sky.
Doged the rocks. Actually the rocks had quite a bit of light on them from the sunset behind me but they darkened with curves, this brought them closer to what they looked like when shooting.

UPDATE: The photo Resting Spot in my portfolio is what I planned to Submit for September, but relatives came and I did not make the deadline. I had it done but forgot to log in and submit. Based on the comments I wish I had as I believe it would have done much better.

I would like to have seen this one in color. Not enought contrasts in the B/W to really have it stand out.

This image doesnt fair well as a black and white. I think its too "middle gray" overall in the image, with a lack of contrast through out.
