Wally's a female. When we first got her we were told she was a female and we called her Wanda. The first time the vet saw her she told us the cat was male. She underwent gender re-assignment...and became Wally.

When Wally was one year old "he" went into heat, confirming the original sexing. It was too late. The name had stuck.

So she's a girl cat called Wally.

We used to have a tabby like this that my late father Wally just loved. Nice use of natural lighting. Good luck.

very nice lighting here, just wish Wally was a bit more sharp...he's not necessarily soft, I just prefer to see a lot of detail in kitty shots

This is a photo of a rectangle of light. This rectangle is rudely interrupted by Wally, which in turn shows us a little something about the rectangle, and also about Wally. The reason this is so wonderful is because it reveals an essential truth: all photography is a picture of light... and an even more profound truth: all vision is a matter of seeing how things affect light. 9

Interesting capture. It's very hard to direct a cat. If the bar of light had been to the right about two inches and you cropped up from the feet, it would have been very nice.

cute cat...I like the lighting/shadows around the face, but the ones on his back are distracting me

The lighting kind of hurts this one.. play with it a bit and see if you can find a better angle on it.

I am not really a cat person, but I do love the lighting on this one. I only wish that the cat's front left paw wasn't half in shadowand maybe more light towards the back of the cat. Also, in my opinion the lighting is a little bland and does not show the brilliance of the fur as much as could be done. Still, I love the pose and lighting and give it a 7.

Great texture on the coat, clever use of light.
