Hello from the Critique Club,
Congratulations on a new personal best and for placing in the top twenty in this challenge. It wasn't that difficult to determine that this was a studio shot. But it was so well executed that I had to give it an 8. This image really shows a lot of motion, with the water flowing from one leaf to the other and the shadows from the falling drops. Although the catch lights on some of the drops are kind of neat, I bet you wish you could have cloned them out, as they do compete with the leaves for the viewer's attention. You came up with a solid idea and executed it to near perfection. Nice job!
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions regarding this critique.
Tim

I missed voting on this. Outstanding. People pay to have sculpture to do this and you found it naturally. Gorgeous. Glad it did well. |

This is excellent use of a studio setting, I really like the single drop with the large flare. congrats on your high finish.

I love water in motion - especially when captured in one shot! |

The lighting makes this look staged rather than being real rain, but I still like the shot, especially the way the drops cast shadows on the leaves. |

Nice motion in this. You get to feel the water flowing. Great stop action on the drops too! Woah! Motion AND stopped action in the same pic! Go figure. |

Gorgeous lighting! This has got to be on top for sure. The spark from the drop in the top of the frame pulls this whole image out of the "great" file and propells it into extraordinary! Nice work! 8o) |

Good simple subject matter that doesnt distract from the excellent capture of the water flowing from on leaf to another. The only negative is the bright reflection in the water near the top - very nice overall! |
