Nice challenge interpretation. I'm usually one for a good, interactive angle on photos, though... rather than a far-off, documentary style shot. I think a change of perspective would liven this image up a lot. |

I'm sure there should be a '(C) Microsoft' in there somewhere :-). Love it! |

Nice sujbect matter, not so good angle, and the lantern on the left is too bright in contrast with the darkness of the phone. This throws the 'balance' of the photo off a bit and commands the eye's attention to just the lantern. Again, good subject choice. |

Neat antiques. The angle leaves me wondering if shooting from a lower and a bit from the left angle may have been more interesting? "Office 1915" would capture me and be more believable if this were in sepia or something... I know that using sepia may have seemed cliche, but I think it would really work with this shot. |

Tom, I really like this composition. The wall seems a little barren, but that is asking for a fifth element to this shot (probably asking too much). Were I to make any kind of suggestion at all, try a tighter arrangement of these three elements and shoot closer to the subjects. Some action might be nice, like hand(s) on the keyboard or phone (or both). Type your message over and over again, redrum, redrum, redrum, redrum....(or vote a high score... whatever) 9 Swash |

I think that the composition is a little too sterile. In my opinion, the idea could have been improved greatly with he use of candles and no telephone – I think the phone is overkill. The notion of the solitary novelist writing in the wee small hours would have been a nice ideaâ€Â¦ This is just my opinion – good luckâ€Â¦ (6) |

Nice setup. This is a good photo. There is something that is not working for me, but I'm sorry, can't say why. But the subjects are great..even the table top fits in. Good work 8 Ruthann |

Nice subjects! I think this is a good setup. I like that the lamp is lit, but I don't see quite enough light on the other subjects and there is a distractive glare on the desk top from the lamp. I'm thinking that a soft fill light would bring out the needed detail for the other subjects. A polarizer might help with the reflection from the lamp though I doubt that it would completely eliminate it. |

Looks like an office of a much earlier period than that. |

Which one is the real object ? The keyboard of the typewriter would be a better photo. |

Something old. Use your photographic technique to emphasize the age of your subject. Composition - quite good Technical Aspects - quite good Meets Challenge - yes Visual Impact / Originality - high

Beautiful image. Enjoy looking at this and definitely will revisit lateron this week. Love the warm light of the image. It creates a nice intimacy and a real nostalgic longing for the good old past. Well, well done! |

nice composition. i would have liked to see a golden cast to this and maybe the light turned down in the lantern so the glare wasn't so harsh. You should have typed 'i deserve a 10.' on the paper to take full advantage of your resources here :P 7 Lisa |
