 In a really big hurry, so I'll write up this shot properly when i get time.

Basically its one of my first shots using the zoom lens + adapter + reverse mounted 50mm lens acting as giant magnifying glass.

And this isn't even zoomed up fully ;)

PP basically major cloning out to even bg (as lots of vignetting). then lotsa saturation, selective colour, then dodge burn, then sharpen a lot

Hi, I think that this is a good image and in an another contest I think it would have a better rating. The image is a macro but isn't abstract (some users in his comment tell this and I think that is true), this is the only problem that it have.

Very nice!
A suggestion for improvement: Perhaps if you'd left the trail of ink towards the rear... I noticed a very shallow DOF - the ink trail (a.k.a the written curved or wiggly line) would have dissipated in the background because of such DOF. Anyway, I like it even as such.

Love the detail on even the ball of the pen! I can't seen that with my eyes, that's for sure!

poor pen looks like it's out of ink...a line would have been interesting. this is a nice, crisp shot, though, with good comp.

when you put a title that tells us what it is it takes the fun out of the abstactness of the picture.
