 Bass Harbor Light, Acadia National Park.

I was inspired to do this by this shot:


I can't imagine I'll do as well as Neil, but I hope I did it credit.

I'll probably get whacked for the lens flare, but while it wasn't intentional, I decided to leave it because I thought it added to the shot.

I tweaked this a lot to get just what I was after. Basics are here:

Raw->JPEG in RawShooter
In GIMP:
Curves
Sat
Mask to select highlights on lighthouse and cliffside
Added a red tint to those highlights
Cloned out lots of dust in the sky and some artifacts from my highlight mask in the rocks
Slight rotate to level horizon
Crop
Resize
Sharpen
Border

Nice shot, I like that you left the sunspot in the photo. I think it adds to the overall serenitity of the photo. Wonderful shot.

Great shot. The tower on the right balances out the sun and reflection on the left. Works well.

I feel like we have seen this image before, but in ifferant colortones.....
Very nice but I liked the bluetones much better if it is the same place.....
