This is a wonderful shot! What kind of dog is Riley? Or is Riley a person -- it kind of looks like a human bite.
Technical: I thought this was a bit low on contrast/muddy. Maybe what you were going for, but to me that took away from the image. Just thinking the right slider of the levels tool should have been a bit more to the left.
But a great pose and wonderful image! |

congrats on the 6+. I came so close to commenting on this, but ultimately forgot. I gave it a 7. I love how it is ultimately not a portrait, but a picture of a bruise. ok, I'm exaggerating. But the bruise is so important to the shot. Very interesting. |

8 - This didn't look like 'prompted acting' to me. Tones work very well. Only thing that detracted in this for me was the upper left darker area (the thicker steel or such, the thinner angled 'whatever' adds, in my opinion). Maybe a slightly tighter crop, especially with those nice eyes, who knows. 'Once bitten twice shy'. edit:to add comments - edit2:typo & to say thank you, glad you liked my 'comments'

What a moving image! The bruise, and especially his expression, tell a story. I hope he is feeling better! My favorite image in the challenge, a 10 from me. |

awwwwww - look at those eyes!!!
Not sure what the title implies - a sibling bite?
No matter - I don't vote on a title, just curious. |

I feel really bad for the kid but this is a wonderful shot. Love the expression, the use of black & white. What happened to this poor kid! |

The eyes look great, they really draw your attention. In fact if the rollover hadn't lost my original comment I wouldn't of noticed the bite. Great b&w conversion as well. Well done! |
