This is one of my more favorite peices of work. The intent was to shoot something a little 'darker' than I had in the past so we went with a gothic / bondage type setup. The post processing was done in Photoshop CS2.

I really like the 'high key' look for this shot. I felt that the over exposure went over much better than under exposing it to make it a 'dark' photo. The green tint came from the RAW conversion. The only editing done from there on was to remove some skin blemishes on the arms and use the burn tool around the eyes, the flooring, and in her hair to darker the green tint and frame her face a little better (create a starker border between the high contract face area and the darker hair area.

The lighting used was a stand lamp angled on its side to reflect light off the wall and back onto the models face from a slighting right of center area and a Canon 580 flash mounted to the camera.

I really like this photo and looking forward to hearing comments and getting any critique.

Wow, I am really disappointed at how bad this one was rated. I am also disappointed by the lack of helpful comments. It seems the one commenter was right about the narrowmindedness of this site.

I am happy to say this shot is to be licensed for use in an upcoming video game!

It seems the one commenter was right about the narrowmindedness of this site.

The fact that one person made this comment should not be considered as a statement of fact.

I consider myself a very open minded person, the proud father of a "Goth", and very flexible in my acceptance of that which which does not fall within the "norms" of society.

All factors considered, I also did not score this image very highly, but can assure you my decisions in this regard had everything to do with the image quality, and nothing to do with ideology.

I dig this image completely. Granted, I really like the darkness of gothic imagery. Very well done. I especially enjoy the white face and hidden eyes.
This speaks to me on so many levels.

Also, props to trying something new! It's always fun to experiment with a new look or new subject matter. :-) Keep it up!

I gave this one a 7, but am not surprised at the score of this one. It really doesn't jive with dp narrowmindedness. Anyway, I have a goth living in my house, so I thought your image was well done. Too bad it didn't do better.

I don't care for this.. the green is too much and what's up with the jump rope.. did she fall .. is she into bondage.. it just doesn't make sense

Interesting concept but a bit too stylized for my liking.
