With some more post-processing to bring details out of the shadows, this would be awesome.

Hi Rick,
As I mentioned during the challenge, (and nearly forgot),
I went ahead and did an edit of your daughter's pic:
From this --to this-->
Obviously having a full-sized original would be better, but for web viewing, this size is ok. |

Having her forehead highlighted doesn't do her justice, it just seems a little off |

Nice shallow DOF; I would have her remove her sunglasses. Work with the lighting also - the bright sunlight on her forehead is distracting |

Wonderfu, casual moment, but the lighting is distracting. I think some fill flash to even out the lighting would be nice |

The garden location and the bright clear day must have been lovely - an inspiration. I think the model needs a little bit of help with a pose. Perhaps to look more in profile away from the camera. |

Really need to play with the lighting and shadows to get something more interesting. Also, due to the models position, she is squinting (one eye more than the other) from the sun... try re-positioning the subject so as to avoid this. |

Pretty lady, nice background blur, but serious lighting issues. Gotta watch the spotty lighting when dealing with natural shade. |

Good capture of the skin tones in the model, could benefit from light in the eyes. |

I find the mix of shadows and light on her face somewhat distracting. |
