Quite funny and sad at the same time.
It's certainly sad as it seems his Rubber Duckie couldn't fill the gap made by Bert's absence. ;-Þ |

Not just the title, and the actual concept, but it's execution is perfect parody of the whole dramatic idea, that you see in movies, tv, ads, etc. The moody lighting, off centered comp to the left, the lost, forlorn, remorseful gaze off the frame of the subject. Just awesome. Awesome, awesome, awesome. It takes a lot for a shot with a figure, toy, etc. to move me at all, but man, you've totally nailed this one. Nice freakin' job :-) |
Gene, Thanks for the feedback. You've nailed exactly what I was going for. |

Toys don't usually cut it with me, but this one has really very nice lighting to bring it up above the norm |

Poor Ernie! :( How tragic.
Nice idea, good photo. Like that Ernie is gazing into a black void creating a sad mood in a normally happy Muppet. |
