Okay, you must have one heck of a macro. What an amazing shot this is! The dragonfly's compound eyes are sharp as a tack, and you have quite a DOF for being this close. Edit to add: superb framing job on this.

They are definately fascinating creatures and the wide array of colors and patterns they come in makes them such a wonderful subject to photograph.

Great detail in the eyes.
He looks very similar to dragonflies I see most in this part of Japan.
