love the brilliant colours and that excellent movement ..
& i loved the poem .. he seems so tormented .. i wish i was so articulate.. how wonderful to be able to put your feelings with such power and creativity .. a great combo with your photograph .. :)
i was going to put this in pik your fav pic but i was too slow reading the poem .. got really lost in there .. :) |

The more I look at this one, the more I like it. It's a shame soft focus and blur techniques are so taboo with the DPC voters. I think so many of them miss out on some great work by zipping past to the next shot and not taking a moment to ponder the expression. |

I guess at the time of the free study, we'd all seen a zillion butterflies, but to look at it now with fresh eyes, it is an exquisite image. The intense colors and DOF is awesome. Be proud of it on it's own and who cares about scores. |

THe soft greens in the background and purple of the thistle contrast nicely. I think that the butterfly should be a bit sharper in focus. |

Nice theme. These guys are very hard to capture because the are almost ALWAYS in motion. Nice job making the typical blurry image of a Swallowtail work. |
