nasty flash, interesting compositon though. what's with the fan?

The link to the challenge is dubious at best; and the photograph is flat and deeply uninspired. 3 Jak

Now that is a REALLY bad pun, but it still made me laugh!

I know the dinosaur is supposed to represent prehistoric times but he just reminds me of last christmas when I got some of these new models for my nephews. I don't get the link between the dino and the fan either.

Very entertaining photo.

I think the fan alone (and clean) would've made a stronger photo. The shadow caused by the direct flash is also distracting to me. The model is fun, but rather than just having them sit next to one another, did you consider having the t-rex snap at the fan, for instance?

More fan - less rex! :)

the fan looks older than the t-rex though :)

Cute title, but in my opinion is off the mark for this challenge. The model is reasonably new thing that is representing a very old thing. To me the challenge was to emphasize the "oldness". It's a fine shot, but not a GREAT shot, sorry.

hahahahhahahahhaha

The picture itself is not of something old but refers to an old species?
08/05/2002 07:35:00 PM
Your picture doesn't really explain itself. Your old fan might have been better without the dinosaur. Autool

Funny. I like the idea, yet not the photo...I'm being very frank in my comments - not to offend. The angle is good - different angles are usually good. I don't like the flash for the lighting - it makes it look too 'snap-shot' like. I'm not sure what the background is, but it doesn't work. I'm not sure what else to suggest. 4

Now those were the days, when household appliances could easly cause bodily injury!

Like the composition, the lighting and the clarity.

This is a good one--a Fanasaurus Rex named-- Westinghouse. Great.

I think the fan would have made a nice subject without the wooden dinosaur... - jmsetzler
