Post challenge: I do feel a need to explain myself just a little. What you see color wise, is exactly what I saw when I took this shot. I did not adjust the colors in any way! Therefore, the colors cannot be considered "unnatural". What you are seeing is bright sunlight coming through in shafts and filtering through trees. There is a big cage type screen on top of these glass enclosures. The glass is also tilted at a 45 degree angle. This did lead to some softness. But I thought the big cat going through those shafts of light just looked awesome. You all don't agree and I'm fine with that!

I'm mesmerized by the eyes, and would love to see a version with a tight crop on the face :)

I'm one of those that also likes harshish lighting scenes, where the light plays on the subject, so I liked this one. I did think the blue was a bit strong, but what I liked best was the cat's eyes and the way he was looking at you, it seems! I think the composition is strong as well.

I quite like this and it looks like the voters have been harsh. Maybe a little colour adjustment would suit it?

Nice shot however it does have a lot of blue in for some reason and it appears to have some blown high lights.

Good composition, but the exposure isn't very appealing in this shot.

Yes, but the colors are un-natural. These could have been adjusted with the advanced editing rule-set, especially if the image had been more under-exposed.

Quite a good capture of light and shade here in this one...

feels a little fuzzy, and there are ares that are blown out where the sun is really bright.

Too much blue cast and too much contrast.

Great eyes, but overall too many blown out areas
