Thanks for all the great comments! A quick note for those that had a problem with the term 'Painting', it was meant to relay a metaphorical sense of paining a landscape which in this case was urban. |

Excellent, though it looks like they're tiling rather than painting :P
The workmen are very well placed, spread out and giving the shot balance. Did you have to wait or just a lucky moment? Sepia works well. A somewhat devalued 10 because I've given so many! |

Nice capture. Good concept. Sepia works well with this. A bit oversharpened, but a very nice image. |

Very good picture I should have put the focus more on the man sitting resting, if you take only the 2/3 top it would have been stronger....greetings doginroom |

this has a very classic feel to it, like a margaret Bourke White image. I like it a lot. The worker at the top right sitting on the platform in silouette makes this shot for me. |

This is showing something more than just a building. Action !. I like this photo.
B/W fits well too.
Could it be slightly rotated CW to be vertical?

Wow, simply stunning! The lack of a singular focal point captivates the viewer and makes him roam throughout the photograph, ahh I just can't adequatly describue it, I love the diaginal lines, the negative space, and the tones. Simply Superb! |

Nice job of toning without overdoing it! Having the workers on the scaffolding is a great plus and item of interest here. |

Great choice to go B/W. |

Your choice of color has added so much to this image, I think. There is drama and interest and a true sense of "urban" here. I keep coming back to look at it again. It appeals to me on many levels without me understanding exactly why. It reminds me a bit of West Side Story or a set of a Broadway play. In any case, this is stunning. Great job. |

Nice contrast in pattern between the scaffolding and the building. The workers form a pattern of their own, which livens up the composition. |

This is a very nice shot. Love the focus and DOF. The guy chillin' on the right hand scaffolding toward the top makes the shot. This time I have to agree with the B/W treatment. This is obviously a construction (reconstruction) site and I think color would detract in this instance!!! |

Nice. But IMO could do with the right hand side being cropped tightly to the scaffold, I find my eye "slipping off the edge" of the subject. |

sepia doesn't seem appropriate for a picture of painting. What color are they painting it? What color was it? |
