I think it was a good idea Tom...I don't get all the "disgusting" and "nasty" comments. His feet are wrinkled..."before his time" means old before his time...it's just a play on words/subject matter. I don't get folks...lol. I think it a different view of the challenge and you did a fine job. I can't believe that people actually leave comments like this....is this helpful? constructive? oh well...to each his own, huh? good luck in the future.

:O)

I really like it...the fact that it's not sepia or b&w and "different" really makes it a good photograph.

Nasty.

You've done a good job of using light to emphasize your subject. The specks of grass, etc., kinda threw me at first.

Sorry... photos that gross me out I tend to score low :-( --3-- sohr

That is really disgusting

Excellent technical photo. I feel the theme a bit stretched on this one, though.

lol - wrinkly before his time but why is he covered in bits? Nice lighting and choice of subject is very creative. Well done.

cool idea, very creative and unique

Yet another cute title twist attempting to slide into the challenge. Without the title, I KNOW the wrinkles are from water soaking, with the title, I offer you a twisted little smile. It's a fine shot, well focused, nice lighting, but the best I can offer you is a 5. Swash

A great idea, well taken – put me right off my burgerâ€Â¦ B&W would make this I think; in colour it's too graphic and makes it look like the feet have just been in water for a few hours. (5) Sorry about the low mark, it's technically a really top shot, but because the flaw (in my opinion) makes it look like the effects of water rather than age I don't think the challenge has been met effectivelyâ€Â¦

I really like the lighting, the detail and sharp focus. I guess the only thing that's nagging me is that these legs don't necessarily look old; they look more like they just stepped out of a creek or other harsh environment.

Are those chigger bites too? I LIKE IT
08/06/2002 03:47:00 PM
Dang. Did you leave your feet in a pail of water all day? Good lighting, though you could use more so as not to cut so harshly the legs.
08/06/2002 02:16:00 PM
plain gross
08/06/2002 09:21:00 AM
Sorry, but there is quite a difference between those wrinkles and the old ones. The bits of grass etc. is very distracting. In my opinion, Autool

Very good idea, unfortunately I don't go a whole lot on photo's that rely on the title to get the idea across (personal thing). Would it have stood without the title? Hmmm, don't know. Anyhow, the fact that the legs go right off the edge of the frame ruin the composition. Not sure how to have done it but, tighter lighting on the feet and getting rid of the twigs etc would have made a better shot for me - lamedos

Prune feet? I don't get it, sorry.

Someone with chigger bites soaks their feet too long and they're "Something Old?"
08/05/2002 11:51:00 AM
are those bug bites on the leg? I'm not understanding the title of the picture or what's old. Sorry
08/05/2002 11:46:00 AM
this would be alright if the feet were true 'old' feet
08/05/2002 11:00:00 AM
looks like a kid's foot that's been in water. Are you sure you meant it for this challenge?
08/05/2002 10:45:00 AM
Unfortunately, even with the wrinkles, this does not look old to me.
08/05/2002 10:24:00 AM
Judging by the color of the skin--you may have Jaundice or Hepatitis. Also a few infected mosquito bites.
08/05/2002 10:11:00 AM
This is almost scary, all I can say is what the hell?
08/05/2002 08:44:00 AM
Interesting choice to use a child's feet for a 'something old' subject... I suppose the water saturation wrinkles do make them look somewhat old though :) - jmsetzler
