 Brooklyn shot of statue . Title is in reference to harsh conditions in NY since 911. It's practically a police state. Especially in the poor areas. The symbols will always represent what they intend to though.

I like this, but I think I would have liked it more if Lady Liberty weren't smack-dab right in the middle. Further toward either side makes a better composition to my eye.

Also, I notice the tobacco colored sky. Almost every evening shot I've taken in New York has that same brownish cast. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but it just seems odd.

5: A good attempt at the skyline and not being local I don't know if the local you took this from is hard to shoot from or not. I feel there is too much negative space in the sky and the light to the left of the statue (statue of liberty?) is too bright. The lights at the right of the image seem to be exposed the best IMO.
