 I hand held my 50 reversed and put up against the kit lens. Focus ain't so grand -- hard to hold the lens with one hand, and adjus the tripod wiht the other two (or at least that is what I needed to do) ;P

focus seems a teeny bit off, but i really like your crop and the color choice.

interesting idea. I would have liked to see just a titch more of the red loop so that it isn't cut off. Nice job getting what you did with your setup.

Your're right, focus could be better... But the colours and creativity makes up for that :)

This is a great idea. In fact, I had it myself earlier today - to take some phots of knots, and would they be interesting. I think the answer is yes. You just beat me to it. ;>þ

yeah reverse mounting gives a very showllow DOF. lol thats for sure.

Oh I like the simplicity of this. Very small DOF it looks like, how was your lighting done? I have a macro reverse ring coming, I cant wait to get mine and try this.
