 I went on a Macro Binge today!

Image descriptions:

1. Some rotting organic stuff on the walkway in the back yard
2. A fallen leaf on the new deck I built this past summer
3. Controls on my Canon SD-400
4. I think that's the top part of an onion plant
5. A half eaten twizzler (red licorice candy) sticking out of what is left of the wife's bday cake
6. Hair Trimmer blade
7. A half dead tiny orange flower thing
8. Rusted pulley on the flagpole in the back yard
9. Water valve sticking out of the wall in our downstairs living room (I didn't design the house)
10. The underside of a cassette tape (an antique form of audio media used before the advent of CDs)
11. My son, Brian's, eye
12. Kirby's nose
13. River rock fireplace in our downstairs living room
14. Some mixed-media art bird picture thing hanging on a wall
15. The tip of a ball point pen (an obsolete tool used for written communication before the invention of the laser printer)
16. The underside of a wall lamp in my bedroom (not a pocket watch, but the lightbulb does burn out monthly like clockwork)
17. A 3ft Craftsman keychain measuring tape
18. A not-Swiss Army knife (it was a free promotional chachki)
19. A yellow leaf with red veins on another plant that I don't know anything about
20. Stuff in m wife's jewelry drawer
21. Stuff in my wife's lingerie drawer - wait, I left that one out. ;-)
21. Mirrored image of a mirror image of me taking the image of a mirror
22. Dog's playtoy
23. Frankie and her goatee
24. A fat spider
25. Magnetic refrigerator poetry - this was the last thing I shot and I saw those words together and knew this would be the title of my collage. ...even though I wasn't drunk. ...wasn't even drinking. ...too full of cake & twizzlers. :)

Looks like a great inspiration for something to do on a rainy weekend! A fantastic collection (even without any ducks, woody's and burning villages). It's interesting that you just wandered around the house finding such mundane things to shoot, and turned it into this! Thanks for leaving us a list too! :)

This really is one of the best collage/melange shots I've seen, Each image is varied and different yet they all have a common theme, if you read the "drunk vision" magnetic words. Each image is tack sharp with great DOF. You rock Ken. Oh..... where's a duck? ;~p

Gee, looks like you just completed the 30-day macro challenge!! They all look great. I see you also have magnetic poetry. I was looking at mine on the fridge yesterday wondering if it would make a good subject.

You were one busy boy! This actually looks really good all together. I like it! And most of the images look like the would have been just fine on there own. You have are amazingly creative.

What an amazing collection of macro shots here mate.....
I am very impressed, and you have 25 macro images here, in this one, so now have only a couple to go, and you done the 30 days in record time..... Just kidding, as I think this is a great idea, and looks super dooper, as well.....
I also love to know how you put this together so skillfully, as I have just completed my first Diptych, with Day 4, which I have now replaced.

The eye and the dog's nose/tongue are what make the image for me. The rest all seems to go together nicely, oddly enough. Leaf is really qite nice (lower right side) and I'm fond of the watch. Nifty idea, very well executed. Great depth in all the shots. What did you use to put it all together?

Ah, I don't know what a twizzler is, but "birthday cake" did cross my mind when I looked at it. (I guess from the texture of the pinkish background.)

If you mean the red thing with the pinkish background, it's the bitten off end of a twizzler stuck in what was left of my wife's birthday cake. Seemed like a good idea at the time. :)

A nice collection of disparate images - but what on earth is the one second from top left? That's a weird-looking whatever-'tis.
