Nice composition, colors, clouds, pose, interesting silhouette. Maybe the other person or a gravestone would help to reinforce the parting so that it isn't just someone walking with a bowed head? And the clouds at his feet make it seem like a composite rather than a mountain top. Still has a nice feel. |

Beautiful image. I think I would be more effective without the bright band of blue at the top. It seems too bright for the rest of the image. |

I *do* get a strong feeling of parting in this picture: the similarity between the postures of the man and the tree is very apparent. I don't know what to make out of the black stripe in the bottom. 7 |

I like the silhouetting and the complimentary shapes. They both lean away from each other. The man is such a perfect icon for sorrow. One wonders where the sweetness is, BUT one wonders where the sweetness is in Shakespeare's original version as well. And I'll tell you where it is: it exists in the beauty of the sorrow. |

Interesting effect -- I have trouble figuring out what he is walking on.. Is it a beach? Very cool, though! |

I get the sorrow part and clearly he is leaving from somewhere but is he sad from leaving his friend the tree? |
