 Shitty shoe of some familymember.
Took it close and used Picasa for the basic work. Used levels, curves and turned it to b/w in PS. Sharpened it at the end.

A pretty shot. I would turn the camera a little more to the left, to avoid the empty space on the right of the shoe. 8

I think a little more DOF would have benefited you in this pic. I think it would give a little more meaning and clarity to your title. I do like the gritty feel of the processing as it fits the type of shoe perfectly.
