taken with a reversed 50mm lens. the stick was mounted on one tripod, the camera on another. An inverted blue tub, and two bouquets of mums, one yellow and one pink, were set up about 6 ft behind the stick. A drop of glycerin was placed on the end of the stick, and my 3 yr old daughter held the bouquet of fake sunflowers about 1 ft behind and to the side of the drop. Had to take a few shots since she wasn't the most steady hand! A flashlight was also put in one of the mum bouquets to add the light. Overall, 3 bouquets to get some bokeh.

PP: adjusted levels, a slight curves adjustment to punch up the lower end, resized for web. Finally USM at small radius.

love it...looks like a painting with great color contrast and awesome bokeh. I'm sure you've got comments about the refraction "pentagon", but I really think it works to balance out the whole picture. 10 + fav.

Deja vu. But this a nice one with attractive colours. I wonder what is that pentagram or where it came from. It distracts a bit as it does not match with the "all nature" concept of the image.

That white pentagon is very interesting. It takes away from the other bokeh, but it is quite an interesting shape to have clearly defined.

A perfect shot. The lighting is super, the colors are amazing, and the refection in the water droplet.... it's perfect. 10. I'd give you an 11 if I could.
