This is a photo of my completely dead cell phone. Worry not! I didn't destroy it for the photo, it had already fallen both into a puddle and a toilet and had been taken apart by a friend's young son. I tried to settle the pieces in a pleasing manner and create an interesting photo with a relatively mundane item. We'll see if I was successful.

Definitely the way I'd prefer to see some of the phones I hear on the train in the morning! DOF is a bit narrow and you chose a busy background. Nice idea.

makes a point

Whoops! I hope this wasn't a working phone (or that you know how to put it back together!) Focus seems a little soft around the circuit board area but good composition.

I don't care for the background in this shot..a solid background would have worked better in my opinion.

ha, that's great. I hate those commercials :) I wish there was a different background though, this one competes with the main subjects too much imo. Also, just a minor suggestion would be to get more of a "thrown on the ground" look as opposed to set up. Just a thought. Nice work.

Oh what I wouldn't do to be able to do this to the guy who says that line, LOL! A great idea, exposing the inside of the cell phone, great concept, good follow through on the shot. The image itself, at first glance looks close to perfect but with a little more examination, the DOF on the top is a tad distracting and the darkness on the upper left keeps trying to pull me out of the shot but the colors of the front of the phone fight back nicely. I'm starting this one at an 8, will be back.

Very busy shot with soft focus. I do like your idea and the shot fits the challenge.

Interesting idea... This photo seems a bit 'contrasty' overall. There is a lot of color and a lot of contrast in the overall presentation.

Very good idea of topc! Although, I would have chosen a more contrasting background.

I find the background to be distracting and my eyes are continually drawn to the top right corner of the image

Good Points: composition is ok
Bad Points:bit unsharp, and distracting floor

Love the photo but am not sure if the background adds or detracts from it.
