There is a train museum near here that I had never been to before. This challenge was a great excuse to go see what they had.

I attempted to make this photo look like it was taken several yeas ago by giving it a yellow tint and fading the colors. (I will probably get hammered for this.)

Adjusted color balance.
Applied partial monochrome
Cloned out part of a sign

IMO the post processing makes this shot. It looks like something in an old 50's or 60's photo album to me. Post challenge I'd like to see this with a white border like the old time photos.

Colors are a little muddy.

this is the viewpoint that I usually see trains from so it feels like a snapshot from the start - plus it looks like your white balance was off, and there's a complete lack of contrast.

Show me the train from your viewpoint, from the viewpoint that shows me why you think this particular train is cool - then it starts to become art. The WB and the contrast come with getting to know your camera better. 2

Nothing emotive or compelling here for me. I feel your colors are disturbingly off...washed out with a yellow cast.

A little "hot" but a fine historical photograph.

A wee bit to orange IMHO but nice capture nonetheless
