 Close up of another flower, Iceland Poppy in this case. (Ugh, sorry!)

I hope it does well, as the bokeh appeals to me. My other consideration was perhaps "too abstract" for such a challenge, so I'm sticking with a more traditional subject.

(IMG_4826: Adjusted exposure, contrast, cropped, sharpened, resized, resharpened, noise reduction and added a border.)

excellent sharpness, nice background - a little tweak in colors and brightness and this could have scored really high - bumping up to 8

The flower itself is really well photographed - the sharpness of the image is great - but the background is a little subdued and uninteresting for my taste.

Nice and crisp flower and well isolated from the border and the background. Colours are nice too.

This has a lovely simplicity. I love the background. The beautiful water droplets are a classic. I wonder if you did some slight adjustment of levels if it wouldn't really enrich the yellow even further. I have a real hard time with yellows myself. This is really pretty.
