Post challenge: Thanks for the feedback: I definitely have to pay more attention to the framing of the photos. I had actually gone to the zoo to take photo's for the brokeh contest, but none of them qualified as brokeh. This photo had such rich colors, that I decided to enter it into this challenge.

A very nice capture but the over sharpening pulls the eyes before one appreciates the subject. 6

What an interesting bird. The image seems to lack some punch...the light and the colors are a bit flat. The branch behind the bird's head is cutting the image almost in half, with nothing going on above it. I'd crop it off completely, and some of the space on the right as well. Noise reduction, saturation, and cropping might make this have a bit more "oomph." Good luck in the challenge. :)

Very interesting bird! My main issue with this photo is that there is a lot of image noise, which distracts me from the bird.

Good exposure and color of the bird but two problems. 1. the branch that runs right through the birds head. 2. the window or door frame on the left.
