i know that bracketed photos are (maybe) not allowed in any editing, i did this one originally with -1Ev and made seven more artificial Ev's (from -3.00Ev to +3.00Ev /by 1.00) in rawshooter so i hope the image is by the rules (it must be only one source photo), i hope this is okay.
that's it :-)
about : it's a beautiful medieval castle 15km from my home town, it's well kept and it was nr. 1 tourist destination on land in my country for 2006.
//www.trakoscan.hr/ - english version apparently not ready but you can see some cool photos in photo gallery

PS: stupid me, i submitted the image that i made from 3 different exposed [bracketed] photos for review before voting phase which is not allowed, now i uploaded for challenge the true version made from one single exposure/file with 7 different EV processed tiff's merged into HDR and tone mapped, i hope someone from SC will contact me before voting begins ... i just wanna say that now is everything by the rules :-) |

Just stumbled on your profile from a thread. This is so stunning! And I love the versatility of your style. So many different "looks" to enjoy!
This particular one is my absolute favorite! Wow! I almost hate Free Studies because it's so hard for a spectacular photo to get the recognition and score they deserve. I agree with TomFoolery, this is definitely blue ribbon material photo!

First thing that hits me is that the sky is not natural - spoils an otherwise nice photo. |

Very nice shot! The lighting on the castle is perfect, and the sky is just lovely. I really like the grasses in the foreground as well. |

a real fairytale castle, it seems a little noisy on the left among the trees though. |

Very pretty....the burning in the sky is just too evident for my tastes, and detracts from the gorgeous colors in the shot. |

This is a lovely scene. It seems slightly tilted. I also think it could use a bit more contrast. |

This is a wonderful image to look at. The natural lines formed by the trees coming to a 'V' and the clouds loosely matching the shape all enhance this photo. Big downer for me is the processing done on the clouds. There seems to be a distinct line/area of clouds in the 'V' section that are burned in while the same color and pattern of clouds just to the left are in a more natural state. I wouldn't have messed with that sky. It would have been great left as is. Great eye to see this image shape up. Good luck in the challenge. |

Great shot. A straighter horizon would have pushed this one over the edge. Nice going on this one. |

A good shot all except the slightly titling water/land line. Tilt to the left a tad. |

I like the composition. There is a slight tilt to the right, which hurts it a bit. I'd probaby play with levels and curves to really liven up the overall tones. |
