My daughter braving the elements :o)

She is a big fan of Renaissance festivals, so she dressed herself for this one. It was really windy (and cold) but she was a trooper for aboiut 45 minutes, with the water splashing up at her.

It turned out exactly as I'd pictured it, so I like the results... hope it does okay :O)

Very eerie image. I love it.

Somehow I think that plant in the foreground absolutely killed you. I don't understand why so many took so much off for that. I would have liked to see her left hand though. If there's something else majorly wrong with it I'm not seeing it.

My first instinct was to crop, make it black/white, and do a little dodging and burning. After I cropped it I realized how much impact that foreground plant was having over the whole image. Even the color version looks amazing. The colors are a little dull, but that's to be expected up here in the Pacific Northwest.

I live in Oregon and was just sitting on my porch pouting. I trying to think of the best way to get those poppy colors back in photos when it's so drizzly out 8 months out of the year. I tried a few things with your photo. Brightness/contrast wiped the detail out of the black dress and my dodging skills suck, heh.

Anyway.. horribly, horribly underrated.

Nice idea and wind-blow cape/cloth. Lack of visible face/eyes pushes me to the buildings in the background. I think that face/eyes and shallower DOF would help, along with elimination of the brush in the foreground.

First impression is that she's holding something long and narrow and about to throw it off into the sea. But I realize she's holding her arms out. Definitely depicts wind well! Since I suspect you set this up, I'd have preferred leaving out the weed in the forground, or chosing something that stood out a bit more from the rocks. Great sea and sky in this, and the touches of color in the trees and the roof on the point add nicely.

Brrr. That water just LOOKS cold! Good capture of this moody setting (sky primarily). The subject makes you think for a minute, which is good. Wind is certainly evident in the water and the cape blowing around. Overall, nicely done. Good luck.

Very nice,I like the way the water is rough and the dark sky but I wish the person would have moved to the left some so you could see more of the right side, it tends to blend into the hillside to much.

Wow, okay, after voting's over you're going to have to PM me either: 1) What type of material is it that is deeper black than anything else I've ever seen, or 2) How'd you got it to look so natural in post processing.

mmmm... a good work and an effective image of wind. the model, all in black, can be a problem for the details on some monitor. I should have chosen a very dark set for this image for obtain a very dramatic image.

A really cool concept though the horizion is tilted slightly left. Tough to capture detail when your subject is wearing black but you have done so admirably. The weed in front of the subject is distracting and brings attention to the DOF issue. I like this shot and gave it a 6 anyhow. Good luck!

I bet I know who this is. Cool idea. I might play with contrast just a smidge. I like the composition and setting.
